So it has started again, the Xfactor is back. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with people achieving their dreams via this TV show, but what I do think is wrong, is the fact it is now ruining the charts. The Xfactor have now gone down the avenue of so many other programs recently and are releasing the songs the contestants do on a Saturday night into the download charts. So for ten weeks will we probably see the top 20 made up solely of the songs from the show? Not to mention next week we see the release of Joe's single which will be advertised on the show. The following weeks we will no doubt see the return of Alexandra Burke and probably Leona Lewis. With the marketing machine they have, how can this be deemed as fair? How can an independent artist compete, when the Xfactor has millions of viewers on a Saturday night?

All I really want is us all to be given a decent crack at the market. It's no wonder more artists are turning to the foreign markets, where maybe they will have their music given a fair share.

I will get off my soap box now and back to more pressing subjects, such as welcoming all the new fans from around the world. I write this as we approach 2000 followers on Facebook, along with the other fans via MySpace and Reverbnation. We are currently sitting 40th in the Reverbnation chart for the UK. I see this as a huge achievement from nearly 200th a few weeks ago.

The planning for the single in December is coming along nicely. The location is being organized for the video and the marketing is being prepared. We don't have a release date yet but I hope to tell you soon when that will be, but will undoubtedly be early December.

What I do need is more help from you. Please could you invite your friends to join my Facebook page, we want to hit 10,000 fans before December and with your help we can do this. Please go to my Facebook page and click the "suggest to friends" link at the top and just follow the instructions.

Well for now guys thanks once again for the support.

All the best,

In our lives we all see music in different ways. We see it as a solace place we can go to reflect, relax and remember certain songs from significant parts of our lives. From our first love, to our first kiss, there are always songs to remember those times.

Over the last week I have been sat thinking of which song we should release for Christmas. This is our deadline for the next single, which I have set myself. I have loved the song "Lost" by Michael Buble for a number of years. The song was written reflecting his feelings on the break up from his fiancee, Debbie Timuss. It was co-written with Alan Chang and Canadian artist Jann Arden.

I have wanted to cover this song since I first heard it, but was unsure of the legal implications. I have now been given the go ahead to release via iTunes and so that is what we plan to do in December. Alongside the recording of the track we shall also be filming a video, which will be available at the same time but will only be available to view and not to download.

Well that is it for now, if you do have a spare minute please show support for a great friend of mine and very talented songwriter Billy D, the writer/producer behind the song "Leave You Alone". His website can be found here: http://www.billyd.co.uk.

Cheers guys

Hi Guys,

Well today starts a journey which I hope you're all going to be part of. Through these blogs that I'm going to write, I will be taking you from the launch of the new website to, I hope the release of my first self-penned song. I'm not going to lie; the thought of it is both exciting me and making me nervous at the same time. This is something I've never done before, but if you never try you will never know, and you can't live your life based on "what if's". I will be honest, I don't know how long this journey is going to take, maybe a month, maybe three.

I hope you are going to follow me, because this is as much your song as it is mine. I want you to help me along the way; I want your input on lyrics, your input on melody. I will regularly update you on any ideas, so that you can voice your opinion.

The first job is to find the basis of a song, what the topic is going to be, the story it's going to tell. Let's be honest, most songs are written about love and heart break and that's a place we have all been at some point in our lives. Either in the form of someone you meet once and you can't get them out of your head, or the person you think you will be with forever but they don't feel the same. So that is where we will start and for the next week until my next blog I will be looking for a story to tell.

I hope you stay with me through this journey. Also, while all this development is happening I will still be trying to get better known around the world. I already have an active following, and friends in Estonia, Serbia, America, Canada, Japan, Philippines, France and many more. I'm currently climbing the charts on reverbnation, this is an independent chart so hopefully I will have some news of my position in next week's blog.

Well for now, all the best and thank you for your support.
